The MQCE Essential Examinations
The MQCE Programme (MQCE Essential Examinations) are completely tailored to equip emerging commercial diplomats and ensure commercial diplomatic leadership requirements are met, allowing practitioner-candidates flexibility to qualify, while working and continuing their vocational training-related comprehensive learning.

Practitioner-candidates shall be expected to successfully complete all the essentially required ACCD-CDRA approved mandatory qualifying competency-based vocational training-related comprehensive learning modules in the modular-courses that make up the MQCP Preparation Programme before applying for the Mandatory Qualifying Competency Examinations (MQCE Essential Examinations).
The ACCD-CDRA approved, authorised and recommended modules in the MQCP Preparation Programme is expected to have been completed, in addition to the required work-based learning, prior to being accepted for the MQCE Programme. Applications from practitioner-candidates for the MQCE Programme shall only be from amongst practitioner-candidates possessing the best and most relevant qualification*
Accreditation of Prior Vocational Training-related Comprehensive Learning Programme
Practitioner-candidates with proven significant prior professional experience, especially, those who have successfully completed the WTO Advanced Certificate in International Trade Policy Programme or related-relevant postgraduate qualification in International Trade-related Policy and Commercial Diplomacy, or International Trade and WTO Law, in an acceptable, recognised, approved and recommended institution, vocational training body, international organisation or intergovernmental institution, such as the WTO, UNCTAD, UNITAR etc may apply for exemption. Such application must make reference to relevant areas in which the practitioner-candidate has acquired proven significant professional competence.
All prospective practitioner-candidates shall be evaluated on their total background including:
- proven relevant-related skills-based knowledge, understanding, specialism-specific expertise and practical hands-on professional experience
- vocational education and training-related comprehensive learning and professional development
- an appreciation of, and passion for responsible commercial diplomacy and commercial diplomatic practice; and
- proven personal integrity, professionalism and dedication as it relates to the mandatory qualifying competency-based programme and the commercial diplomatic profession
